Karol Obrzut is a an avid gamer and content creator with a strong background in journalism, with emphasis on video game journalism. Since 2004, he has worked in gaming journalism, marketing and SEO. Currently, Karol is developing and maintaining an SEO strategy for GOG and creating content for GOG Blog. Karol is also a tech-nerd, an early adopter and a homegrown tinkerer.
Experience: Karol was involved and inspired by video games since 1990, playing on Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari, ZX Spectrum and NES, while also being an avid reader of gaming magazines like Secret Service, Gambler, Reset, Top Secret. Combination of those 2 passions developed into a goal of becoming a gaming journalist, which came true in 2005, when Karol joined the ranks of SS-NG (Secret Service: Next Generation) as a journalist. While there, he was responsible for creating content for a MMORPG column while also reviewing games, attending events and conducting interviews. Since then, Karol is constantly honing his writing skills and finding new ways to engage readers while telling a story.

Education: Karol attended Melchior Wańkowicz’s Warsaw School of Journalism, where he specialized in press journalism, developing skills needed to create a review, interview, expansive column and more types or articles. Afterwards Karol attended Warsaw’s Academy of Advertising, Photography and Film (also known as Warsaw School of Advertising) where he focused on advertisment strategy.
